Number Line Records Presents: Multo! Last Show in Manila!

Tomorrow! Number Line Records Presents: Multo! Last Show in Manila

Three things:

1. Mount Analogue is playing and we’re playing a new song. (This one’s for sure now. We said we were going to play a new song in B-Side last night but was pressed for time. Haha.)

2. It’s Allan’s (aka Multo) last show here in Manila until we don’t know when. It’s a party for him and we should be there!

and 3. I can’t believe I’m in a line-up with Outerhope. It’s like a dream come true! I’ve been a fan of this duo since 2005 I think! Since Strangely Paired and Terno days! Just whoa. Also, friends will be there!

So I suppose it will be a good night? Oh yes, please. The past few days were awful and all I had was James Blake to comfort me.

See you all!

And then there was Fete!

And then I was not able to update! :p

But first things first… Fete was fun! Alright, I have to give all my happiness credit to the Indie Stage at Keg hosted by Meiday because that’s where I stayed… All night long. Haha.

Thank you Meiday for that awesome party! It was packed, as usual Meiday’s are, but nothing beats sharing live music with people who could sincerely appreciate it.

Here’s the host of the night, Reggie! This lady could speak two languages oh so fluently! English and Baklese! Haha bonnga teh!

Vivat Regina

And of course, we should not miss! Thank you Mei!

Mei Bastes aka Indie Queen of the local scene!

Meiday x Fete could never be compared to any Fete that happened a few years back. Simply because it isn’t the same!

More pictures by yours truly HERE! Yayyyy!

When Old School Meets New School

THE EMBASSY of FRANCE, ALLIANCE FRANCAISE de MANILLE
in partnership with ALTERNATIVE ASSETS and B-SIDE present:

FETE DE LA MUSIQUE 2011:
La VIELLE x La NOUVELLE – Old School meets New School

100+ Bands.
14 Genres.
8 Stages.
1 Night.

Look, the line-up!

NOTE:  Meiday Stage STAYS at The Keg, Fort Strip tomorrow while the rest of the Fete stages are moving to The Collective in Malugay St., Makati.

I’ve been attending Fete De La Musique since 2005 (except for a skip last year since Fete wasn’t held here in Manila) and it has always been a good way to hear various music while sharing it with  friends and strangers alike. Fete has always been memorable for me. And tomorrow, rain or shine, I know it will be the same again!

Stage-hopping (as me and my friend, Aie, would say) is one activity to do in Fete. It could be mighty tiring but it sure is fun! But if I were to stay on one stage tomorrow, you’ll most likely see me here.

(Us-2-Evil-O won’t be playing anymore, but Outerhope and The Royal has been added in the line-up!)

It’s Meiday x Fete! Come! Let’s dance to this beautiful line-up! I haven’t attended Meiday for so long and tomorrow is just the perfect timing to make a comeback! Yay!

So see you tomorrow? Lezgow! :)

Sweetest Kill

And it’s been a while!

Who said unemployed fresh graduates can’t be busy?

Well I was and I’m still a bit on that track. A lot of things came up, actually — self-catching up (or should I say, more “me” time), family trips (to the dentist and dinners) and a music comeback I’m really anxious about (this is a surprise, but for starters, I play bass again!)

So I must say not much time was wasted. Also, I’ve had a good first job interview with Underground Logic and will be having another one this week. Yes! I adore that company!

I have also been listening to new music. And when I say new, I mean old albums I’ve just discovered, new albums from old artists and new albums from new artists. Basically, music I haven’t heard.

Also, just a few minutes ago, I saw this new music video from Broken Social Scene (thank you, Kathy!) Man, the irony in this video is just beautiful.

So with all the random thoughts I’ve just said, here it is. Enjoy!

Disclaimer: This is not for the weak at guts.

I thought you were the sweetest kill
Did I even know?
And all the time we thought we did
Was it just for show?

If they try to pull you out
Would you even go?
I thought you were the sweetest kill
Did you even know?

I break you through this world
Let me break you through this world
Can I break you through this world?
